Douglas A. Omstrom is a commercial and industrial, sales and leasing specialist, who is now in his 27th year in the Long Island real estate market. He began his real estate career in 1981 as a commercial real estate salesman with a nationally recognized firm and was later appointed Sales Manager.  He joined Corporate National Realty in 1991 and is currently a Partner and Senior Director.

Doug has successfully negotiated hundreds of sale and lease transactions for local, national, international and Fortune 500 companies. Whether he is representing a major bank in the disposition of owned real estate or working with a local company that is expanding, Doug brings his expertise, honesty and integrity to each and every transaction. Doug's philosophy of creating long term and personal relationships with many of his clients has allowed him the opportunity of working with some of Long Island's premier companies. For example, Doug has represented Maurice Villency, Inc., in leasing out excess space in their warehouses for the past 15 years.  His leasing transactions for Villency total some 248,000 square feet.  He has also represented Euram Management, Inc. (Formerly EAB) in six transactions totaling 372,000 square feet.

Other noteworthy transactions include:  the sale of a tract of land in Hauppauge to the Tritec Real Estate Company (19 acres), the sale of 3500 Sunrise Highway, Great River to the Long Island Software & Technology Center (360,000 square feet), and the sale of 4320 Veterans Memorial Highway, Holbrook to Nature's Bounty (230,000 square feet). He leased 575 Underhill Boulevard, Syosset to Quest Diagnostics (100,000 square feet), sold 325 Duffy Avenue, Hicksville on behalf of Sulzer Metco (US), Inc. (100,000 square feet), and sold, on behalf of BAE Systems, their facility in Syosset (200,000 square feet) to Blumenfeld Development Group.  In 2005 he sold, on behalf of Bristol Meyer Squibb, their 190,000 square foot facility on Stewart Avenue in Garden City.

Doug is active outside the business realm doing charitable works for such organizations as Big Brothers, Big Sisters.  He is a member of the Commercial Industrial Broker Society as well as a past president.  Doug is a graduate of The New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.  He currently resides on Long Island with his wife and two children.
